THE PAST OF NOW AND THE FUTURE, Tongtong Ren
I heard the whispers from the past, and then I give a yell to the future.

I am curating an exhibition for the year 7012, which is 5,000 years in the future, and writing a book about the past life researched from museum objects through a designer’s perspective.

Objects in the exhibition of 7012 will talk about the current universal value, which is shared and agreed by most people but still absurd. I have chosen objects that represent current culture, preserving and re-making them to last longer than 5,000 years.

I have made this parallel because NOW IS THE PAST OF THE FUTURE.
