Mapping Television Remote Use, Tom Stables
The gate to my house isn’t broken at the moment, you just need to have the knack to open it. Similarly with the way most people watch television now: there’s a knack to it. That knack often involves pressing multiple buttons across multiple remotes just to turn on and start watching. This knack uses a language that does not refer or transfer to other systems in everyday life, making it difficult to work out. It makes even less sense if you are elderly. One of the things I have been looking at this year is how to make sense of this problem.
