• My work draws on historical facts to create contemporary fictions. Rooted in ceramics, my sculptural practice uses an aesthetic of craft to establish a counterpoint between chosen materials and the ideas they can articulate. My interest is in initiating dialogue between opposing poles; sincere and ironic, authentic and virtual, sacred and mundane.
