• For as long as I can remember I have been self-marinating in some kind of hopeful, thoughtless deliberation. Some train of thought or state or feeling that I would only be aware of in retrospect, happily and thoughtlessly, without intent. A thing that can’t be prescribed, taught or learnt, or anything.

  This has lead me, theoretically, to ideas of language and naming: of intent, of placing, of use, holding things up, putting things down. I wonder now, as a famous philosopher proffers, if there are no problems of philosophy, only problems of language. And, if this is so, that language only works to negate and suppress – to suppress being, to suppress flesh and blood, to take reality away from where it once was. If this is true, then I am making things, hopefully, to muddy their use.
