Museum of Memories
Ashes to
bacteria,
the essence of life and death.
Human life is no longer balanced and we are facing the reality of our misunderstanding of nature: the underestimation of bacteria created a massively unbalanced system from the food we eat to the medicine we take. I believe that Bio-design applied to our environment and everyday spaces would recreate an ecosystem based on the essence of life.
We are what we believe. A wave of evolution, a vibration of feelings, a hole of light, this is life from bacteria to matter. Our environment is alive and I create with it a museum of memories, a space to celebrate life and death: An invitation to think and to remember.
It is a space to come and come back, because death, as part of life, is
or should be an everyday subject, a subject we feel good to talk about, which
we want to live, share and prepare well so that who we are and who we love are
remembered in a poetic way. But how to represent a person, an identity, when the
body is not here anymore? shape – smell – voice – heart bit – emotion …
The Museum
is located in Margate, along
the coast, between an old lift and a staircase. It could be elsewhere as there
are a lot of similar towns which have a lift or funicular, a strong meaning of
movement and transition. The relation with the past and the nature have also an
impact on the ambiance in this museum.
Come
and participate to this unique experience where death is shown as a piece of
art.
