Wearable Metal Origami
Through research into materials and production processes I have developed an innovative flexible metal-textile composite. It has the appearance of a rigid multi-faceted metal object because most of the surface consists of metal platelets, yet is extremely flexible as it contains textile hinges. I found that it is possible to use a range of folding patterns, leading to different flexible movements. I tested its properties and suitability for use in a range of design disciplines by designing a series of wearables.
