MA work

MA work

This series of work is a development of traditional knitting construction techniques. By selecting commonly knitted elements from vintage hand-knitted garment patterns, ribbed welts, integrated pockets, sleeve cuffs and sock heels play a different role when separated from the rest of the garment.

Repetition and a playful use of colour emphasise these often overlooked details to dictate and create surprising structures.
