'Look!'

Packaging is a very important element in branding. But what is the value of the packaging, and why does it excite? By playing with illusion, making the package part of the jewellery and imagining new forms of brand communication through packaging, I've opened up important questions about value in luxury branding, highlighting the role of the packaging and proposing new ways in which luxury can be expressed in the future.

  • As a conceptual jewellery designer, I’m always observing the environment and objects around us, interested in the relationship between the object, environment and the wearer. I try to use forward and critical thinking to break boundaries, to re-define what jewellery is, and to take jewellery to a new area by experimenting with different materials and media. My current research project is focused on the packaging of luxury brands. In my designs, I imagine new forms of brand communication through packaging, and by making the package a part of the jewellery I have opened up important questions about value in luxury branding, highlighting the role of the packaging and proposing new ways in which luxury can be expressed in the future.
