• Vehicles like all technology-driven products, are destined for obsolescence, consumers desire the newest, and most fashionable technology. However the pace of current technological development is making products obsolete faster than ever. What happens to this increasing number of unwanted commodities? What use is their super durable everlasting material now? Deka is a vehicle that will not contribute to the mass scrapyards of the future, nor will it require the massive infrastructure and energy current vehicles consume during their ‘disposal’. Through the use of smart biodegradable materials Deka will exist for a decade after its production, after which its chassis and body can be harmlessly introduced into soil where natural enzymes will ensure no trace of the vehicle is left.
