If sex is a fabric, what is its texture?
Without motor and sensory function, the nature, meaning and mechanisms of sex change. What if, with the loss of movement and sensation, the pleasure of sex does not diminish, but, rather, transforms and transposes? This project responds to the intricacies and difficulties that people with Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) face with sex, and aims to redefine and re-educate sex for them and their partners. Ultimately, this project stands against the common mentality that leading pleasurable and satisfying lives is one step too far for people with SCI and disabilities.
