Re-
Re- is an invitation to participate in a reinterpretation of the Blacks and Whites' Carnival from the south of Colombia. In my childhood, my father used to take me every year to this celebration which takes place in Santiago, Putumayo, his hometown. This year we came back after ten years with the purpose of refreshing our memories, as well as reactivating the typical practices of the festival. As a result, this project is very much about renovating threads of identities that interweave in ephemeral gatherings such as carnivals, where families and the community join together to let go of old things and welcome new beginnings.
