Journey Through Local Industry: Seat/Aluminium/Processes
Being from South Korea, this project started with the research into established manufacturing processes available in London, as seen from a different cultural and social context.Â
Local manufacturers who produce low-volume
and small-scale objects offer huge potential for designers. It is our roll to
maximise this potential by understanding the processes they offer and to create
value by critical insight.
My journey through local industry resulted in a series of seats that serve to celebrate the pure qualities of each different making process, and highlight the unique values and extraordinary environment each workshop has to offer.
