Factory NexGen: Design for local manufacturing SMEs
In Taiwan, more than 35,000 small manufacturing enterprises are only able to survive in the next 5 to 10 years due to the founder generations moving towards old age, a shortage of technicians, lack succession plan, and the significant decline in sales.
Â
Factory NextGen connects people outside and inside manufacturing SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) to exchange abilities and facilities that can help these businesses to innovate, transform and ultimately sustain themselves. This project turns the dying factories to become a powerhouse to let hard-working younger generation can show their capacities and implement their ideas.Info
