Out of Body Bind

The voice outside my body is becoming. I expel her. I exorcise the mask of my extra human voice.

*breath*

In 1956 Robert Monroe founded a firm to set up and research the effects of sound patterns on human consciousness.  In 1958, he reported experiencing a state of consciousness separate and apart form his physical body.  In this world he was able to traverse the permeable membrane of reality, pass through worlds, commune with the dead and have a glimpse at the world beyond the borders of the flesh.

Hovering cloth, magician's right hand.  A gentle wavering, above her body.  A body of water.  Downstream eyes.

    MA Critical Writing in Art & Design, 2014

  • I am an artist and writer based in London.  At the Royal College of Art, I completed my first year in Sculpture and my final year in Critical Writing in Art & Design.

    I have a forthcoming project at Farnborough Wind Tunnels in July 2014; an Arts Council-funded collaborative residency at Islington Mill, Manchester in summer 2014.

    I am also a contributing visual arts editor at Dazed and Confused Magazine, contributing editor at Sleek Magazine, Berlin, and co-founder of Wet Knickers with Emily Beber.
