MA work
MA work
My work at the RCA is attributed to the theme of ‘the outdoors’, and my attempt to enliven a living space with a play on scale and imagery. Designing begins from personal ‘outdoor’ experiences – the elating intimacy and embodiment of open space, which I want to pass on through my textiles. Using large-scale printed fabric to reinvigorate the interior of isolated buildings such as derelict barns and mountain bothies, and spaces that are used for creative, social, cultural and environmental purposes, I have attempted to reveal these buildings in a textile context, whilst merging unobtrusively with the encompassing landscape.
