Nomad
It is no secret that, nowadays, the concept of the workplace has drastically changed. Strategy Analytics predicts that, by 2022, 1.87 billion people will be mobile employees, comprising 42.5% of the global workforce.
In this perspective, co-working spaces are expanding all around the world and have become the norm. The forgotten ones are the professionals on the move who have time to do a work session, but not enough time to settle down in a co-working space: the micro-workers. Lobbies which have to be paid for are not an option for micro-workers who look for a very short-term working environment.
Responding to that issue, Nomad will create a modular system of 'furnitecture' which can be installed in places such as shopping centres and airports in order to activate these public spaces as interiors which support today’s micro-workers.
Nomad will act as a multi-functional piece of furniture that supports different working postures like a communal worktable, a soundproof sofa or a phone booth. Depending on specific needs, the product can be customised in a variety of ways.
