  • I have created ‘Moritzland’ collections encompassing my drawings, photography, needleworks and installations. My works represent internal organs inspired by my congenital condition; Situs Inversus Totalis, i.e. inverted position of the internal organs.

By visualizing the deformed and reconfigured internal organs, I represent my persona, sense of otherness and fear of death, rather than exploring their aesthetic elements or simply showing their objective existence. I intended to incorporate the ideas of ‘ephemeral lives’ and ‘mortality’ into the inanimate characters that I initially created by hand. Their uncanniness is generated by our thrownness, disquiet and mortality.
