My practice lies between moving image, interactive and sound. Being brought up in the cities of Hong Kong and London has influenced how I perceive time, space and cultural identity in my work. My current work takes place in London from observing human behaviour within the subject of time. I studied how natural organisms’ endogenous timekeeping system relates to the earth’s 24 hours. The strongest zeitgeber for both plants and animals is light. As humans are also included in this pattern I have documented how the light–dark cycle has impacted our human activity. This project also follows documenting ambient sounds and using video and technology to measure human circadian rhythms.
