Artificial Realty
In 2015 the average London house earned more money than the average London worker. As the capital return on investment is higher than the return on labour, it has become increasingly desirable to make the most of any property you can afford.
Architectural ‘style’ eventually becomes a by-product of the market, and the speculated emergence of Artificial Realty* creates a paradigm shift in design. The birth of the Mercenary Architecture algorithm heralds a new era of investment real estate.
As a fully-functional programme, the algorithm analyses the financial potential in a given property. Certain characteristics have measurable effects on the value, and forces are created that act proportionally on the physical organisation of the building itself. The output is an Abstract Property Volume, representing absolute financial optimisation and providing the blueprint for physical manifestation.

* ‘Artificial’ here takes back it’s historic definition: a refined improvement over a natural original; it is the ultimate modern compliment. Artificial Realty is a new movement of market-driven architecture, reacting physically to both spatial and economic factors.Info
