MA work

MA work

I am always surprised how fertile and rich my everyday experience is and in many ways I feel overwhelmed by it. My work has become a record of this experience.

What emerges from these moments are emotional batches of imagery, which I then organise in the form of an ongoing narrative, taking inspiration from the language of comic books, frescos of the Italian renaissance, temple shrines, flora and fauna. This interaction with the world leads me to paint, draw and sculpt an altered autobiography, where anamorphism and time travel blend my domestic reality with a more fantastical one, allowing me to reconsider my relationship with people, places and objects.
