Sijong Kim’s works derive from his interest in ways of seeing the world. He continues to question the ways of seeing and investigate how our world can have different meanings depending on which media it is expressed in.
Born in South Korea, Sijong Kim studied mass conmmunication for his BA. Later he worked as campaign planner and art designer in advertising companies that made him to have doubts about the way people see the world. Through his works, Sijong tries to reveal the subjectiveness of people and his own sights and minds. As an admirer of Paul Cézanne, René Magritte, and William Kentridge, he continues new attempts to depict the world in different perspectives by combining various media.
