experiencing how the true cost of war is paid by the lives of civilians:
every second in my piece represents one day of the iraq conflict (2003-11). a light flickers every time a civilian is killed.
one light flickers when a civilian is killed by the US-led coalition; the other, when opposing forces take a civilian life.
