Our postmodern society, fractured by the digital revolution and the commercialisation of the individual, has us too wrapped up in our own narcissistic fantasy lives. It is with this hope of fashioning a new American Dream for the future that I dedicate my senior design project to a human Mars mission. If we can rediscover the powers of community, of cooperation and conscience, perhaps then we will be ready to solve the great challenges our world faces.
