If It Doesn't Sparkle Don't Buy It
Initially inspired by a phrase I overheard by two elderly women in my home town of Liverpool: 'if it doesn't sparkle, don't buy it'. This led me to research 1970s glam culture, the androgynous style's of David Bowie, Mark Bolan and Patti Smith, and how the fans themselves re-created the looks of their idols.
