• I am really proud of being a car designer. Since the old days when people got excited at the sight of the first steam-engined automobiles ever invented, the history of automobile has been dramatically transformed, while itself having transformed peoples’ lives. Now the car is not just a vehicle but also a way of life and even a mode of personal expression; artistic design now matters, and the car sometimes becomes a place of rest after a hectic day. By creating a kind of new life style, the automobile industry has been a pioneer in technological and artistic innovation –which would all indicate that the responsibilities of predicting tomorrows and suggesting new design accordingly now fall in the shoulders of car designers, or in the shoulders of myself, as I would like to see.
