Choose your own adventure... What is the design legacy of the Olympic spirit?

Modern life is pretty easy, and thanks to advancing technology we live in a world which is getting easier by the app-load.

But how easy is too easy? Is there a point where we are no longer challenged and tested by our environment, as we outsource our daily tasks to clever inventions?

The battle between automation and human autonomy has never been more relevant than on the Olympic site, where two top-down agendas, 'active design' and 'inclusive design', fight it out to shape our future homes.

Using the multi-generational family as a principal character, this project removes formal planning restrictions and replaces them with a physical structure that allows for a more fluid evolution of the home.

Its lack of prescription provides the family with an opportunity to take charge of their future, and discover new modes of living in our constantly changing world.
