• My work is inspired by anthropology and social and cross-cultural contrasts, that I then harmonise. I feel it is important to address topics and notions that the everyday individual can actually relate to. Much of my design, focusses on the body being a form of landscape that is enhanced and built upon with structural and sharp cut pieces, that distort or enhance the silhouette of the wearer. Body modification features strongly in my work, as I have always had a fascination towards the efforts and extremes that people go to in order to alter and transform their own physicality.
