MA work
This collection of pieces is based around interaction with nature, as experienced in childhood. From simple play to elaborate make-believe, nature and its products have played a valuable role in child development.
In this collection of pieces, jewellery serves as a medium through which to interpret this relationship. In doing so, my aim is to celebrate and to highlight the perceived value of the natural world, both in childhood and our current reality.
For adults and now increasingly children, nature is something experienced from a distance. The value of these pieces lies in bringing it close to the body.
