Hair-straightening irons on fax paper and paper collage
I am interested in the removal of control and decision-making as a method of approach in design. Instead of seeking to assert power over materials, I prefer to ‘listen’ to them and be responsive to their prompts. In this sense, I work in collaboration with my materials; together we attempt to coerce withdrawn desires… but whose desires are they? Mine, or my materials?
