    MA Sculpture, 2017

  • Rosie Reed (b.1991) is an artist living and working in London, she completed her BFA at The Ruskin School of Fine Art, Oxford University, in 2013 and her MFA in Sculpture at the Royal College of Art in 2017.

Rosie’s practice is entrenched in the physicality and performance of making, the build up of surfaces over time and the results and traces of actions. The works that evolve are the results of both genuine and exaggerated actions, leaving the viewer to decipher between the honest and the fictitious. Excess and the non hierarchical use of colour and material is prevalent in the work; Rosie is seduced by the intimidating, unpleasant yet irresistible nature of over saturation.
