In my MA thesis I focused on a design exploration considering the elderly for a private healthcare company. The project set out to deliver huge social impact on the one side and a profitable business model on the other side. The service architecture consists of a step-by-step unfolding advisory service, four main care propositions and a post-care service.

    MA Service Design, 2014

  • My background is in media design, communication and advertising. I chose service design as my area of specialisation, because I realised that my work has the potential to make a difference for the user and will add long-term value and quality to their lives. I believe in sharing my knowledge and thoughts about design. I believe in making creative networks and sustainable services. I love challenging myself and I think as a service designer, I am responsible for using my creative and communicative skills to create solutions to complex problems. I believe in leadership, within groups as well as using design to drive growth in business. In my opinion, design should not only be aesthetic but also functional and of high quality, and also create awareness of cultural, economic and environmental systems. Thus, new paths can be forged and new innovations can be developed. Within service design, I critical analyse, plan, conceptualise and execute an overall creative route. Therefore, one needs a solid understanding of graphic design, communication and advertising, which I constantly try to deliver in the view of creativity, high quality and the 'extra something'.
