MA work

There are no hard distinctions between what is real and what is unreal, nor between what is true and what is false. A thing is not necessarily either true or false; it can be both true and false.

Harold Pinter

My work is based on unsettling moments that can be found in everyday situations, illuminating the rupture of familiarity.

I’m interested in how social and architectural environments structure human behaviour. By taking these patterns of behaviour out of context it can reveal the peculiarities in the common place.

I see my work depicting a place that exists between what we dismiss as familiar and what is totally illusory.
