MA work

MA work

As technology moves forward at an ever-daunting and perplexing speed, it seems that many find it invasive to the extent that it causes great anxiety and leads to a disengagement from its advantages. It is this background that informs my work. Working across a range of media, I mix natural elements with the machine-made to create hybrids that have a dialogue between: the new and the obsolete; the automated and the intuitive; and the organic and systematic, in order to understand technology and offer inspiration for its mediation and to find a balance between it and nature.
