Slow Tea
Nowadays, our lives are full of stress and uncertainty, and it seems we have already forgotten how to relax. This project helps millennials find a way to reduce stress through traditional methods combined with modern technology.Â
The Slow Tea re-introduces a modernised Chinese tea ceremony as a relaxation tool to the younger generation of China. Through smart furniture and human tracing software, participants are guided through a traditional tea ceremony at a pace that induces a calm body state. This comfortable experience encourages participants to re-orient themselves to enjoy their lives slowly, poeticly, and gently.

My passion is designing interactions that impact peoples’ behaviour; especially through the exploration of the cultures surrounding our objects. I have a particular interest in bringing traditional crafts and practises into the contemporary digital technology age, by re-designing objects and systems for the modern context.
