Sensory Jungle

Renfei’s project is about creating an environment to inspire the curiosity and playfulness of its participants. Its body texture inspired material combined with a primary childish colour palette are constructed in a way that brings a naive impulse of exploration to the participants. The piece allows participants to have their own sensory journey through touch and visual senses.

As adults, language is our main source of information. However as children, we take account how objects feel, smell or taste to form our cognition of the world. Our bodies being the first portal to the physical world for our minds. There is a primal joy in using the senses from our bodies to form relationships with our environment. This project invites people from the concrete jungle and the metropolis formed by data, into a secluded magic tent, to have an intimate conversation with their own bodies and senses.
