I am inspired by in-between things such as the binary oppositions of light / shadow, real / unreal, existence / absence, man / woman, old / young, and so on. I am curious about the duality and ambiguity of things because, for me, uncertainty is more inspiring than certainty.

Currently I am focusing on spaces such as: between myself and my surroundings, between myself and others, both physically and psychologically.

Another influence is humour. During my dissertation, I wrote about this subject, specifically the differences between Japanese and British humour. I concluded that some humour is universal and also something that sometimes I like to contain in my artwork.
