For me art is about experience, and my work aims to explore the surreal and abstract nature of that experience though the transformation of feelings into physical forms.
I am instinctively drawn to shape and colour and I did investigate the esoteric relationship between these elements and how they can evoke and affect feelings.
My work often contains about the surreal art that I use to represent spirituality and emotion. I am particularly interested in exploring how western curvilinear culture can be translated imaginatively into a surreal and abstracted language of feeling and sensation.
I always seek to originate. A sense of growth and change is vital in my work. My aim is to create objects that feel ‘alive’- pulsating with energy and humanity!
By developing my vocabulary of shapes and colours, I am able to use this ‘surreal language’ to explore and adapt my natural surroundings into beautiful objects that embody the human spirit. Ultimately my ambition is to transform these imaginative impulses into accessories that will be loved and cherished forever…
