Rachel Jones

MA work

My work explores the role jewellery plays in relationships and society by extending and enhancing the traditional designer/client practice within commissioned jewellery and objects. By opening up a new perspective on the role of the designer and the scope of narrative content in bespoke jewellery, we can begin to explore the full potential language of objects.

The work presented has been carefully crafted with the intention of reflecting its owner and a particular relationship or event. Much like the stories a person can tell, these objects do the same, in a subtle quiet way.
