Declaration of State of Permanent Happiness is the first publication in English language focusing on the political and artistic scene of the Movement of 1977 in Bologna.

The Movement of 1977 was a large and varied group of extra-left wing militants, autonomists, involving unemployed, students and factory workers alike in the main Italian cities. Its demands were focused on progressive civil rights, working rights and freedom of expression. In Bologna, the events of 1977 were the product of an incredible synthesis of the creative and political wings of the Movement. 

Drawing from original sources, interviews, archive material and original contributions, the book intends to uncover an heritage of subversive modes of communication and radical theories widely unknown.
