The contrast between our physical and emotional experiences, between ‘natural’ and ‘man-made’ environments, fuels my curiosity:
What values and sensitivities will influence our rural and urban cultural development in the future?
I explore the relevance of traditional skills in this context. With new material and process juxtapositions, I seek to find a blend of sensual, technical and symbolic properties in objects with a cultural fluency that is respectful of the past, reflective of the present and mindful to the future.
