MA work

The human form is of constant fascination to me. My ideas originate from first-hand drawings and photography. Currently the male leg is my muse. Using digital printing hand and machine embroidery I have created a sculptural piece for installation. The obsessive stitching is my reaction to working directly under the influence of emotion. I take the traditional notion of embroidery as an old-fashioned craft and re-present it as a contemporary art medium.
