MA work

In my practice as a painter I lift directly from contemporary culture and the archaic simultaneously. I make reference to computer games, press cuttings and video in an attempt to coax out a threatening realism. I examine the detritus of digital technology as it manifests itself as an assault on the body in cascading acts of violence.

My intention is to project the body onto the spectator, and to make paintings that challenge verbal interpretation.
