Embodied Language

A first-person learning space mediated through a VR experience, intended to build a new form of narratively driven learning environment. It uses VR as a tool to evaluate and challenge conventional ways of learning English. It is targeted towards those who are learning English as a second language, especially those who are not living in an English speaking country but are learning in order to pass exams, socialise, earn higher pay, develop their careers etc. In a VR environment, you can visualise English vocabulary or sentences with a headset to see and hear, listening to the pronunciation and using motion controllers to track your body and interact with the content. It is highly engaging, and engagement is good for retention and memorisation.

  • I am a multi-disciplined designer/artist/activist. I like using digital technologies and collaborating with curious and talented people to make the world better.

Because of my multicultural background, I tend to see objects, people and situations from multiple perspectives. In my professional and personal life, I constantly seek out diversity and equality, and am always keen to try something new.
