I have been focusing on the experimental and unpredictable use of glaze within the kiln. My approach focusses on how I create boundaries though this raw and unknowing world created by glaze.

Through material investigation, I have become aware of letting the material speak for itself, and trying to create this notion of chance. I have been inspired by satellite imagery of earth, and its natural life cycles, through this I have created my own landscapes within the glazes.

The forms I create are chosen by my instinctual processes, and my understanding of the clay; knowing how each type will react through stress and tension in a different manner, and focusing on the balance between form and surface.
