Stairbility

Stairbility is a new mobility aid designed to increase confidence and independence, by modifying a walking stick to also provide support descending stairs. Being able to safely negotiate stairs is important to a person’s ability to move around independently. By reducing the risk of falls, it also promotes the physical benefits gained from continued use of stairs.

Stairbility is a walking stick which helps a person to go down stairs by attaching to a handrail. It is designed to be lightweight and portable, and fits a variety of handrail shapes and sizes for flexibility and ease of use. By attaching to the handrail, Stairbility provides a sturdy support to use while going down stairs.
