MA work

MA work

Under my artistic pseudonym I use ‘toys’ as a platform to produce friendly and accessible artwork. My inspirations come from comic art, popular culture and classical music. I experiment with the concept of sculpture in different contexts, producing ‘mini-sculptures/toys’. My art is user-friendly and approachable, and I work to soften traditionally highbrow fine art by mixing it with popular sub-culture and exploring new, friendly and accessible platforms to present my artwork. Simplicity and fun are important, as I see it as necessary to have a more direct and pure way for people to understand and relate to artwork and the world beyond.
