MA work

My pieces attempt to illustrate a communication between the artwork and the human figure. The human form is employed to convey a dialogue between the depicted human figure and the person wearing it. With my pieces, the artwork plays an active role in the dialogue that is occurring. In order to facilitate this process of communication, the narrative components are emphasised. This way the wearer can interact with the jewellery in multiple ways. Jewellery does not only have a decorative role, it allows the viewer to identify with its message and use it as a means of self-identification.
