MA work

I am interested in the idea that what we perceive as beautiful in nature is linked to our conscious or unconscious recognition of underlying patterns and structures.  I use this idea to create forms that suggest movement and life without directly mimicking nature.

In this body of work I make small glass spheres that are fused together and formed in the kiln to create larger pieces.  In turn these pieces are installed in a composition on the wall to suggest a sense of life and growth.

My work is designed for interior spaces where the glass can play with light and the shadows can add depth to the delicate pieces.
