MA work
Where our skin ends...
Our skin is where we end and where the rest of the world begins. We tend to expand this boundary, constructing layers that encase us and conceal our fragile being.
My work is inspired by ancient Japanese armature. Multiple scales intricately woven together create a protective shell.
The jewellery becomes an extension of the body, almost functioning as armour in the form of a second skin.
