Knit + X = ?
This equation forms the basis of my MA project. It focuses on exploring the possibilities of knitting when it is incorporated with other materials, letting knitting be the vehicle.
Knitting is the constant but the variables/materials/ combinations and outcomes change.
Objects are not necessarily defined, leaving ambiguity so the possibilities are unlimited to the viewer. Focus is on showing the potential of knitting in other uses.
Knit + is about a method of exploring a material to expand knowledge and innovate new uses. The same method could be applied to many other materials and techniques.
